Aufgabe
Gegeben ist eine Ellipse
x=u1a*sin(pi/2-t)+u2a*sin(t)
y=v1a*cos(t)+v2a*cos(pi/2-t)

t von 0 bis 2pi
Beispielwerte:
u1a=37.5
u2a=-21.65
v1a=61.24
v2a=-61.24

[mm]\text{(1)} \ \ x = 37{,}5 \cos t - 21{,}65 \sin t[/mm]

[mm]\text{(2)} \ \ y = 61{,}24 \cos t - 61{,}24 \sin t[/mm]

[mm]q(x,y) = 0[/mm] mit der quadratischen Form [mm]q(x,y) = \left( u(x,y) \right)^2 + \left( v(x,y) \right)^2 - 1[/mm]

Jetzt kann man die Hauptachsentransformation durchführen.

Die Sache hat mich interessiert. Ich habe die Aufgabe einmal allgemein gelöst. Gegeben sei die Parameterdarstellung

[mm]x = a \cos t + b \sin t \, , \ \ y = c \cos t + d \sin t \, ; \ \ t \in [-\pi,\pi][/mm]

Mit den Determinanten

[mm]\Delta = \begin{vmatrix} a & b \\ c & d \end{vmatrix} = ad - bc \, , \ \ \Delta_{\cos} = \begin{vmatrix} x & b \\ y & d \end{vmatrix} = dx - by \, , \ \ \Delta_{\sin} = \begin{vmatrix} a & x \\ c & y \end{vmatrix} = -cx + ay[/mm]

bekommt man nach der Cramerschen Regel

[mm]\cos t = \frac{\Delta_{\cos}}{\Delta} \, , \ \ \sin t = \frac{\Delta_{\sin}}{\Delta}[/mm]

[mm]\left( c^2 + d^2 \right) x^2 + \left( a^2 + b^2 \right) y^2 - 2 \left( ac + bd \right) xy = \Delta^2[/mm]

Mit Hilfe der symmetrischen Matrix

[mm]S = \begin{pmatrix} c^2 + d^2 & -(ac+bd) \\ -(ac+bd) & a^2 + b^2 \end{pmatrix}[/mm]

kann man die quadratische Form so schreiben

[mm]\begin{pmatrix} x & y \end{pmatrix} S \begin{pmatrix} x \\ y \end{pmatrix} = \Delta^2[/mm]

Man erhält dafür

[mm]\lambda = \frac{1}{2} \left( a^2 + b^2 + c^2 + d^2 + \sqrt{D} \right) \, , \ \ \mu = \frac{1}{2} \left( a^2 + b^2 + c^2 + d^2 - \sqrt{D} \right)[/mm]

mit [mm]D = \left( a^2 + b^2 + c^2 + d^2 \right)^2 - 4 \Delta^2 = \left( (a+d)^2 + (b-c)^2 \right) \left( (a-d)^2 + (b+c)^2 \right)[/mm]

[mm]u = \begin{pmatrix} ac+bd \\ \frac{1}{2} \left( -a^2 - b^2 + c^2 + d^2 - \sqrt{D} \right) \end{pmatrix} \, , \ \ v = \begin{pmatrix} \frac{1}{2} \left( a^2 + b^2 - c^2 - d^2 + \sqrt{D} \right) \\ ac+bd \end{pmatrix}[/mm]

Beide Eigenwerte sind positiv. Bei [mm]\lambda[/mm] ist das offensichtlich. Wegen

[mm]\lambda \mu = \frac{1}{4} \left( \left( a^2 + b^2 + c^2 + d^2 \right)^2 - D \right) = \Delta^2 > 0[/mm]

ist auch [mm]\mu > 0[/mm].

Führt man also durch

[mm]\begin{pmatrix} x \\ y \end{pmatrix} = \frac{\xi}{|u|} u + \frac{\eta}{|v|} v[/mm]

[mm]\frac{\lambda}{\Delta^2} \xi^2 + \frac{\mu}{\Delta^2} \eta^2 = 1[/mm]

Die Halbachsen der Ellipse sind also

[mm]p = \frac{|\Delta|}{\sqrt{\lambda}}[/mm] (in Richtung [mm]u[/mm]) und [mm]q = \frac{|\Delta|}{\sqrt{\mu}}[/mm] (in Richtung [mm]v[/mm])

Mit den Zahlenwerten

[mm]a = 37{,}5 \, ; \ \ b = -21{,}65 \, ; \ \ c = 61{,}24 \, ; \ \ d = -61{,}24[/mm]

berechnet man gerundet

[mm]\Delta = -970{,}654 \, ; \ \ D = 84134093{,}044 \, ; \ \ \lambda = 9274{,}056 \, ; \ \ \mu = 101{,}592[/mm]

[mm]p = 10{,}079 \, ; \ \ q = 96{,}302[/mm]
