The contrast between the BNW and the Reservation life is also obvious(ly) today. Indian or Aborigines life is similar to the Reservation life. In their life, religion culture and history play a subordinate role. Their lifestyle has stayed unchanged since hundreds of years. In strong contrast to this form of life stands our world view. A lot of elements which Huxley presents are also visible in our life. For example mass media, the alienation of culture and religion, to prevent emotion etc.
Naturally this contrast causes tensions between these two worlds, because we think our life is more comfortable and worthwhile. Not seldom we consider it as our task to make the savage life of Indian and Aborigines more civilized.
